Dr Maria Razumovskaya, a Steinway Artist, has performed at major venues in the United Kingdom and Europe as a soloist and chamber musician. In 2015 her debut recording of works by Liszt (including the B minor Piano Sonata), supported by the GEMMA Trust, was released. In 2016 she undertook a nationwide solo recital project, performing Interpreted Reﬂections: In & Out of Time, supported by Arts Council England.
She received her formal training at the Royal Academy of Music gaining a Bachelors degree and Master of Music in Performance and Research with Distinction Further piano studies were supported supported by an Arts and Humanities Research Council Doctoral Award and several RCM scholarships at the Royal College of Music.
Maria’s 2014 thesis was Heinrich Neuhaus: Aesthetics and Philosophy of an Interpretation. She has contributed original articles to various international peer-reviewed musicological journals, Grove Music, and International Piano magazine.
