Description:

Friends of Cwmdu Music are thrilled to welcome back Cardiff Winds to perform our first concert in 2022 - they previously came here in 2017 with a stunning recital & we are eagerly looking forward to hearing them again.
The ensemble played their first concert in May 2013 and has at its core a group of top professionals based in Cardiff with links to the city’s major musical institutions: Welsh National Opera (WNO), BBC National Orchestra of Wales (BBCNOW) and the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama (RWCMD).
They give concerts in Wales and the border counties and have premiered a number of new works as well as playing the traditional repertoire. They have also made a CD “Morning Music" which received glowing reviews.

Our concerts are held in St Michael and All Angels Church in Cwmdu, Powys which can be found by using postcode NP8 1RW in sat navs.

The Artist in Residence for the Evening is  Debbie Court – papier maché sculptor.
She is a sculptor in papier mâché living in Wales and has been part of the Welsh Arts scene (in music as well as the visual arts) for 40 years. She is in demand as a portrait sculptor and regularly accepts commissions from all over the world.
